Now on to the State of BatistaWeb address.

As those of you on the Forum know, I've been away at school for the past two years. Awesome for me, not so awesome where it comes to running a fansite. This is my final semester -Walking the aisle, paper in hand on May 28th!! In addition to the class load, I've been working my internship and other general stuff that relates to my Real Life.  All this means that I don't have nearly the time I used to have for updating. BatistaWeb.com is still a dear side project for me so there's no danger of the site closing, just thought I should update everyone on what's been going on behind the scenes.

Now, if you are interested in helping out in anyway, This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Writing recaps, updating the events schedule, making graphics, moderating the forums or whatever you can pitch in, it's all appreciated.

Onto site news: Woo-hoo- New layout! Next weekend the forums will be down (Saturday night/Sunday) for scheduled maintenance. We were having some issues with the Media Galleries earlier this spring and they've been offline for a while. Work has begun on rebuilding the galleries and I'm hoping to have it go live next weekend. If you have any site suggestions or requests, this is the week to email them in.

 This birthday edition of Smackdown comes to us live from Birmingham Alabama. Sporting his new, smaller, trunks, Batista is set for action against Mark Henry.

 Henry, in a lock-up battle, powered Batista to the ground. Shoulder tackle took down the former champ again. Henry got cocky and pie-faced Batista. The Animal went on a rampage and kicked Henry out of the ring. Henry turned the tide and whipped Batista into the steps, then drove his spine into the ring post. Vader bomb by Henry missed, as Batista got his knees up. Henry missed a charge and Batista hit a spear for a two-count. Another spear, then Henry back-dropped out of a Batista Bomb. He missed a splash, allowing Batista to hit a spinebuster for the win.

Both men will be in the Royal Rumble and you have to wonder if the Animal has it in him to get Henry up and over the ropes?
