800th episode of Raw tonight and the Batista action kicked off with a
visiting Shane McMahon booking a massive main event tag match: Shawn Michaels and Batista vs Chris Jericho and JBL.
BACKSTAGE
Kelly Kelly was approached by Beth Phoenix and Santino Marella, who had
a broken nose mask. Beth said she asked for the match because Kelly
laughed at them. Santino mocked Batista’s entrance and Batista walked
up behind him. Beth said if Batista interfered tonight, Santino would
take care of him. Santino reluctantly stepped up to Batista, but took
off running when his music hit. After he left, Kelly giggled and Beth looked uncomfotable as Batista stared her down.
IN RING
Santino said he was going to beat up Batista just like he was going to beat up Fonzie (Duece). Santino did indeed win his match. Later Beth vs. Kelly Kelly Kelly. Despite interference from Santino, Kelly (Kelly Kelly) got the win and was immediately double teamed by Glamorella. This brought out Batista and he looked ticked! He speared Santino as Beth looked on in the
corner.
BACKSTAGE
Jericho is in Adamle’s office with Lance Cade… and up to some trickery concerning the scheduled main event.
MAIN EVENT
Ah…so that’s what Jericho was up to when he talked to Adamle. Tonight’s main event is now a two on three handicapped match…
Chris Jericho, Lance Cade, and JBL vs Shawn Michaels and Batista
Michaels starts the match and holds his own for a while, but eventually the numbers game catches up and the heels begin to pick him apart. For, like 7 minutes straight. Batista is eager to tag in -the heels do everything they can to keep HBK from making that tag. Fianally, Michaels battles past JBL to tag in Batista. Batista goes after Jericho and lands a huge Batista Bomb on him. This sets up HBK for an elbow from the top ope -but- Jericho moves out of the way just in time. In ring chaos, JBL knocks Batista out of the ring, Jericho is out of the ring and a dazed HBK is easy picking for Lance Cade. 1-2-3, the bad guys get the win tonight. The show ends with Batista looking after a battered Michaels while Jeicho escapes with his belt.
