SmackDown! Results, August 25
Coming from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, this week’s edition of SmackDown! begins with King Booker rewarding his loyal court. After a joyous knighting ceremony the royal court is surprised in ring by Lashley and Batista. A fight ensues and is then interrupted when GM Teddy Long comes out to announce the main event. Batista and Lashley vs King Booker (with Queen Sharmell), Sir Finlay and Sir Regal.
Batista starts off the match by getting in hot action against the knights. King Booker wants none of him. Mid opening match we cut to commercial. When the broadcast picks up again Batista and Lashley are working together to put a dent in the royal offense. It’s about here that the numbers game catches up. Team Royal keeps isolates and works over Lashley. Batista finally gets the hot tag and cleans house. A back body drop to Regal, jackhammer for Finlay. King Booker tries to hit Batista with his sceptor but the Animal ducks it. Spinebuster to The King and Batista pics up the win for his team.
