Vito beat Tatanka in the opener. Both guys didn’t look too good but Vito at least made an effort. He won by rolling up Tatanka.

Flash Funk vs Gregory Helms for the Cruiserweight Title was next. Good back-and-forth action with Funk showing shades of the old Scorpio. He nailed Helms with a high top-rope legdrop but only got a two-count and was put away just moments later by the Nightmare on Helms Street.

The Tag Title match was next with Regal and Taylor looking great against London and Kendrick. Stylistically, it was like the Regal-Kendrick match on TV, just longer, with more comedy and a Sliced Bread #2 to end the match by Kendrick against Dave Taylor. Taylor looked very good and moved well given his knee’s condition.

Layla beat Jillian Hall in a Divas Match with Funaki as referee. Nothing match, as always.

Kane beat Ken Kennedy and MVP in a handicap match. Finish came after Kane choke-slammed MVP, Kennedy dove onto his partner from the top rope and was pinned with a choke slam.

Sylvan vs Jimmy Yang was up next. Sylvan belittled the crowd for not speaking the real French language – Quebecois. Good match with back-and-forth action and solid high-flying on Yang’s part. Yang takes it with a sunset flip in the corner. Boogeyman came out from under the ring after and spat plastic jello worms onto Sylvan. Lame.

Chris Benoit retained the US Title against Chavo Guerrero. Another very good match between the two but it’s obvious people won’t care for Chavo. Serious lack of heat for everything non-Benoit. Benoit did a series of five Germans, hit the flying headbutt and transitioned into the Crossface for the tapout.

Main event was a three-way for the big one. Batista defended against Big Show and Fit Finlay. Easily the most heated match of the evening. Batista was terrible again, giving Show the worst spinebuster this side of Vader in a long time for the win. Finlay and Show had a few fun exchanges stiffing the living hell out of one another. One chop was so stiff, it brought tears to Show’s eyes, causing both Finlay and him to crack up and lose it. Great heat and a long celebration for Batista.

As a whole, this show couldn’t hold a candle to the one in Nuremberg last month where the ECW guys provided some welcome relief from the other by-the-numbers matches up and down the card.
