Im not a big fan of RVD as an actor, a wrestler yes. Bautista is an excellant wrestler, Im glad hes getting into the movie scene. I didnt particulary like all the cursing coming from his mouth, it just made him seem "Punkish", kinda lost a little respect for him after that movie..You know you can make movies without all the cursing, that doesnt make you tough. But whatever the Animal wants to do and say is his perogative. I think Dave could (and most likely will) make an excellant actor though, with his moves and his ability to draw a person into his Animalism Personality. If you are a Bautista fan then this is a good one to add to your collection. As for a sequel, I do hope there will be much deeper character and plot development as well as a much more steady but moving pace. It wouldn't bother me at all of there were more "twists and turns". Bautista, my favorite, plays his part well, however I'm not sure how much time he devoted to research for his character because I wasn't quite convinced that the club was "my place" as he said. Nevertheless, his natural ability to use his facial expressions to convey a thought will be a great asset in any future acting endeavors he should undertake - and I hope he does. A big nod and hat's off to Marrese Crump (Markus, Seth's "muscle"). He is quite believeable in the role, handling the man-of-few-words character like a seasoned pro. His fight scenes and use of weaponry is masterful. By the way, he is also David Bautista's personal trainer which helped make the fight scene between the two of them seem realistic. All and all a good first time effort for Van Dam, Bautista and Crump. With more training and seasoning, these guys will light up the screen for many years to come. My opinion exactly!
